Planning a romantic wedding is all about the details! Building an amazing team to work with is key to creating the day you dream of and making your ideas a reality. The styling of our day was of course all about romance and undone glamour. From stationery to the venue, florals to photographs. Every aesthetic element should flow. And add to a day that reflects you as a couple. With our amazing suppliers, we created the romantic wedding we had dreamed of.

Most of our guests were coming from the UK and abroad to Ireland for our wedding day and so we wanted it to feel magical. An Irish castle was the perfect backdrop for our fairytale romantic wedding!

Top Wedding Planning Tip

The key to successful wedding planning is to start early and never compromise on your vision. There are endless decisions made throughout the process. But The Wedding Shop made for the most fun element of our wedding planning. 

Walking down the aisle with my pops was incredibly special. And to see Chris waiting at the altar, with tears in his eyes and all our friends and families smiling as we walked up was absolutely magical. A fairytale moment you dream of all your life! 

Our other favourite memory from the day was walking out to the drinks reception. The sax was playing, the sun was shining and everyone with champagne in hand was cheering as we bounced out from the castle to meet them all!

How Did You Get Engaged? 

We were in the Maldives celebrating my 30th Birthday. Chris surprised me with a birthday dinner on a private island. It was there where he popped the question under the most stunning sunset I have ever witnessed. The perfect proposal for our romantic wedding plans. 

Our guests were travelling from around the world to celebrate with us. So, a gift list provided such a convenient way for everyone to send us something special they knew we would love. Our gift list had a huge range of pieces suiting every budget and personal choices.

What Did You Love About The Wedding Shop And What Was Your Experience Like?

We loved the Wedding shop Townhouse, having a chance to walk around getting inspiration for our list was so exciting. We also loved that we could select items from any brand to add to our list! It was such an exciting part of our wedding planning and the staff were incredible, helping us to choose the romantic wedding gifts to celebrate our marriage.

What Was Your Favourite Wedding Gift And Why?

Our KitchenAid was a highlight. A bucket list item of my husbands forever! ...I’m not fully sure it wasn’t an incentive for getting married!

We bought our first home six months after our wedding. It meant the world to us that The Wedding Shop could store our gifts until our home was ready to move into! Once we moved in, we had all our gifts delivered and it was something to look forward to all over again!
